Good to be Green - Our positive behaviour strategy
At Coed Glas we aim for a happy atmosphere where staff and parents work in partnership to provide a caring and stimulating environment in which our children can thrive. As part of this we promote and maintain clear expectations of good behaviour.
This term we have introduced the Good to be Green programme across the school. In each class there is a Good to be Green wall chart with every child starting the day with a green card, showing that they are “Good to be Green”. During the day, children who maintain the level of behaviour expected of them remain on Good to be Green. Pupils who show exemplary behaviour and excellent effort in their lesson are awarded a Super Learner card which is added to the chart. However, children who make the wrong choices are given an orange Warning card. If they don’t heed the warning and continue to make wrong choices they are given a red Consequence card which is linked to our discipline policy.
Should you require more information about being Good to be Green please don’t hesitate about seeing your child’s class teacher.
Good to be Green is also used alongside the other reward systems, such as Class Dojo!
